Sophie’s work is reflective of her gorgeous nature - it’s uplifting, unique and sure to brighten any room. I love my flamingos and can’t wait to buy another piece!
Since I started writing one of my most important considerations had been the cover artwork. I strongly wanted to work with local artist and so meeting Sophie at Wimbledon Arts Studio at the May open event and encountering her amazing wildlife portraits was an incredible experience. I knew instantly that for my travel work I wanted to feature her art - the creatures come alive in a blaze of colour and texture. They grab attention and won’t let go. Having received her Gray Langur for India, I have already ordered Fire Bugs for Chernobyl and Pripyat and, of course, a wonderful Giant Panda for China. Now my only problem is ensuring my writing can do her artworks justice!!!
Sophie’s paintings give you an insight into how she sees the world: bright and full of colour. My painting is something I will treasure forever, as I can truly appreciate how much time and effort goes into everyone of Sophie’s paintings. Whatever you want, she will do her utmost to create it for you, so be as challenging as possible because her positive can-do attitude will mean you’ll be delighted with the result
The mural Sophie added to our SpacePortX office helped liven up the event space, making our community co-working area feel more welcoming. It has made our members happy and many of them went on to commission Sophie for art in their own homes!!
Sophie has a calm and inquiring presence, watching her paint was a joy, she is graceful and patient; her work flowed effortlessly. I am sure the work of this young artist will grace many great walls. It was a privilege to be an observer in the creation of her Lord Ganesha.
Sophie is superbly talented and I feel so lucky I was one of the first clients (three statement wall art pieces in my new flat in Hoxton and a painting for a friend). This lady will get very far and one day I’ll be even luckier to know her! On my to do list: get some investment Sophie Tea pieces before prices shoot through the roof!
Sophie created a large painting of Lord Ganeash on the wall of our summer house, totally transforming that space. It was very interesting watching the creation of a piece of art, as we had never seen or thought about that process before.Over two days we watched Sophie develop this wonderful painting from a few ideas we had discussed. It began to take shape as a sketch, then a soft, shadowing form, getting more distinct and vibrant with each layer of paint and detail, almost like a birthing process. The translation of Sophie’s gifts through light, precise “dressing” of the colours. shape and detail were fantastic.Through all of this it was a real bonus to share some quiet time with her while the latest layer of paint dried. There was lots of laughter and some great insights on family and life in general. Many thanks Sophie for the whole experience and especially for our watchful Lord Ganeash.
I absolutely adore my panda. Sophie is a creative genius who’s going to go a long way!!
Sophie is an amazingly talented artist. I’ll have my wonderful Giraffe for life. Buying the art was easy and Sophie was a pleasure whilst helping me throughout the process. Can’t fault her!
Sophie lives life to the full and her enthusiasm shines through in her artwork. We are delighted with our two pieces, a zebra and a lion, which were her first works but have followed her progress and development from these, to elephants and penguins, to the wonderful Grey Langur. Amazing work from a talented young lady.
